Something Rotten!

Something Rotten!

Featuring Shakespeare himself as a Renaissance rockstar and the Bottom brothers as struggling playwrights, this musical comedy depicts the creation of the very first musical.

Story:

Nick and Nigel Bottom struggle mightily to make a name for themselves with the cocky celebrity, William Shakespeare, hogging all the literary glory in Elizabethan London. To get an edge, they consult a soothsayer and learn that the future of theatre is the Broadway musical. As they attempt to create a brand new work with singing, dancing, and acting (sometimes all at the same time!) and win some fame for themselves, they discover that success is about more than just churning out blockbusters.
