Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots

Based on the 2005 film, Kinky Boots features music and lyrics by Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and a book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein.

Story:

Charlie Price has never been interested in running his family’s shoe factory in rural England, but when his father dies, he has little choice. He abandons his personal career in London to take the job, but finds the factory in terrible financial state. To save the jobs of his employees and the factory itself, Charlie and his new friend, Lola the drag queen, dream up an almost unbelievable solution - a new line of kinky boots designed especially for drag queens. The idea can save the day, but only if everyone can put aside personal prejudices and troubled histories and commit wholeheartedly.
