About the Show

A Sondheim musical inspired by the painting "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" by Georges Seurat.

Story: As Georges Seurat works on his most famous painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," his mistress, Dot, threatens to leave him, and later in the show, his great-grandson struggles to succeed as an artist and to understand those around him and those who have made him who he is today.
