APPLAUSE
 


Margo Channing is a Broadway star, Eve, her biggest fan. Soon Eve becomes Margo's girl Friday and eventually becomes her understudy. Soon, Margo comes to suspect Eve's scheme to become exactly like her in every way, but none of her friends will believe her. Eve soon starts backstabbing all of her "friends," going after Margo's fiance, and eventually winnning a Tony of her own.
